Late Herbert Wigwe: Akpabio tackles Fubara on behalf of Wike
President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio took on the Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara at the funeral service for late Group Chief Executive of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba and son, Chizi in Isiokpo, Ikwerre LGA.
Governor Fubara while addressing the congregation said there was nothing to be fighting for in life that is full of vanity. He said the late Herbert Wigwe was a very powerful and wealthy man who was in control of many things but he could do anything when it was time to die.
Drawing comparison, he wondered why politicians fight about everything. Many rightly thought he was making reference to his ongoing feud with his predecessor and political godfather, Nyesom Wike who is the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
When it was his turn to address the congregation at the funeral service as the highest ranking political officer holder, Senator Akpabio who is the Chairman of the National Assembly provided an answer to the question posed by Governor Fubara over what politicians fight for insinuating that if there was nothing to be fighting about then he should consider giving up his office.
